Toolbar right-click menu

This popup menu is shown when you right-click a custom toolbar. You can quickly set some options while the toolbar is open. More options can be set in the Properties dialog or directly in the toolbar text.

Edit Toolbar - show QM window and open the toolbar.

Edit Macro - if the button is used to run a macro, show QM window and open the macro.

Open Parent Folder - if the button is used to run a file, open its folder.

Record menus - start recording menus. When you select a menu item in some window, is inserted the men command. Not all menus can be recorded. If recording fails, it means that men cannot be used with that menu.

Show Text - show text labels.

Sizing border - show border. In not checked, you cannot resize the toolbar.

Vertical - horizontal separators, etc.

Auto Shrink - different toolbar size when the mouse pointer is inside and outside the toolbar.

Follow Owner - follow the owner window when it is moved or resized. For free toolbars - when the screen resolution is changed.

Equal Buttons - equal-size buttons when Show Text is checked.

Tooltips Always - show tooltips when Show Text is checked.

Activate Owner - clicking the toolbar activates the owner window.

All Desktops - when using a program that creates multiple virtual desktops, make this toolbar visible in all desktops. This style does not allow other programs to hide the toolbar or move it somewhere. This has no sense with window-attached toolbars.

Quick Icons - load icons quickly. When closing the toolbar, icons are saved to a single file, and, when opening the toolbar next time, icons are quickly loaded from that file. This is useful with toolbars that have large number of icons and therefore are opened slowly. If unchecked, icons everytime are extracted from associated files. It is slow process (especially if an antivirus program scans each loaded executable module) and requires more memory.

Refresh Icons - refresh outdated icons. Useful when Quick Icons is checked.

1-pixel border (QM 2.2.0) - show 1-pixel border. The border can be used to resize the toolbar if Sizing Border is checked.

3D buttons (QM 2.2.1) - display old-style 3D buttons. Incompatible with hot item colors. On Vista, incompatible with custom font.

Open file on drop (QM 2.3.0) - when a file dropped, don't show menu. If the button runs a program, opens the file in the program. To show menu, drag and drop with the right mouse button.

Coordinates - select to which corner of the owner window or screen are relative toolbar coordinates. This affects the Follow Owner and Auto Shrink styles. If Auto Select is checked, then, when moving the toolbar with the mouse right button, is automatically selected nearest corner.

All these settings are saved to the registry, when closing the toolbar. If different QM macro list files have different toolbars, toolbar names also must be different, otherwise toolbar settings will be overwritten. These settings are user-specific. Alternatively, toolbar settings can be stored in an initialization file.

If you have lost a toolbar (it is running but invisible), check View Active Items in the Run menu, right click a toolbar in the Running Items list, and click Move Here. If you click Reset, it closes the toolbar, resets its size, position and right-click menu settings to the default values.
