Options: Files

Auto backup - when saving (or auto saving), copy the current file to the backup folder (My Documents\My QM\Backup). Shared files are not included.

QM creates backup files according to the specified schedule. The schedule consists of ascending numbers separated by spaces. Each number represents hours, and is appended to the backup file name. A backup file is updated when it's age becomes greater than this number of hours. Default schedule is 0.5 3 24 168. The backup folder also contains file ~~back~~.qml, which is copy of current file as it was before last save.

Always Add System - add System shared file (as System [S] folder) when creating a new macro-list file or loading a macro list file that does not have this folder. The System file contains QM extensions - the floating toolbar, dialogs from it, and more. If you don't have System folder in your list of macros, you can add it (menu File -> Import ...), or check this checkbox and restart QM. If you for some reason don't want to use QM extensions, uncheck this checkbox and delete System folder (before, uncheck 'Read-only' in the folder properties dialog).

Always Add These Shared Files (QM 2.2.0) - other shared files that will always be added.

My QM folder - folder where QM and QM extensions will store various files. This folder also contains the default main macro list file. In macros, where file path is used, this folder can be specified as $my qm$ (e.g., "$my qm$\my file.txt"). Default path is $personal$\My QM (My QM folder in My Documents). If there are multiple user accounts, each user has its own My Documents folder.

Reload outside modified files - automatically reload current file if it is modified not in QM (not in this QM instance) since QM last time opened or saved it. Checks every 10 minutes. When QM is visible, if file is changed, asks to reload it. When QM is hidden and there are no running threads, reloads silently. Also checks shared files (if a shared file is modified, reloads the main file). To reload manually, click the topmost item in the File -> Recent Files menu. When file is reloaded, QM also tries to relaunch currently running toolbars. Even if this checkbox is unchecked, QM always checks file when saving.
